Adventure Presentations

In the fall of 2017, I came home from an adventure of a lifetime. I was invited to join my US friends to raft the Tatshenshini-Alsek rivers. We started in the Yukon, and finished two weeks later at the gulf of Alaska. When I tried to share this experience in casual conversation, no one had any concept of the enormity of what we had done, and why it was such a big deal – at least to me! That’s when I realized that I needed a way to share these adventures with my community.

Paddling among the ice burgs calved off the many glaciers feeding Alsek Lake.

This was the start of my Adventure Presentations. I absolutely love sharing my experiences with groups and organizations, and am always amazed at the different people who attend the shows. At the Tat-Alsek presentation, I met a woman whose father was one of the first ‘modern’ people to explore that area. Wow.

I now have a growing library of Adventure Presentations. These are not dry, boring talks that focus on me, me and then ME! Instead, they are filled with gorgeous photography of the landscape (no selfies!), useful information like distances, elevation gains/losses, and some history of the area. The talks are entertaining, provide useful information, and always result in conversations and questions.

Trip Reports

I have an ever-growing list of Trip Reports covering my hikes, scrambles and backpack routes. Most of these routes (or a combination of a few) can be used for a group Adventure Presentation. If you see something you like, please let me know. I am happy to work with your group to make it relevant to your needs.
